Version 1.2.0

This is a minor release including the following new features:

  • Support for AWS DynamoDB - a fully managed NoSQL database. Using a fully managed database offload many of the adminstrative tasks of operating a high available database cluster.
  • Consuo User Interface is an optional Docker container that provides a web based graphical user interface to manage your channels and schedules.

And the following improvements:

  • The HTTP GET operation for the /channels/:channelId now responds with a 404 status code if the requested channel does not exists.

To upgrade to version 1.2.0 use the images eyevinntechnology/consuo-schedule:v1.2.0 and eyevinntechnology/consuo-engine:v1.2.0. And to install the User Interface use the image eyevinntechnology/consuo-ui:v1.2.0. More information on how to install the UI to be found in the Installation Guide.

Version 1.1.0

This is a minor release including the following new features:

  • Gaps in a schedule is gracefully handled by inserting a slate VOD. The URI to the slate can be specified by an environment variable. The slate is recommended to be 3-4 seconds long and packaged as HLS. For best experience it is recommended that the slate is "loopable".
  • CORS origin white-listing of Consuo Schedule API specified by an environment variable

And the following improvements:

  • Consuo Schedule API now responds with an error when trying to create a channel that already exists.
  • Providing an invalid schedule event ID when removing an event now renders a correct error response.

Version 1.0.4

This is a patch release including the following improvements:

  • A resolution to an issue where the consuo engine started to play the first event in the schedule even though it was a couple of hours in the future. Do note that this current version does not handle gaps in the schedule and that is a functionality currently being worked on and available in a later release. It is recommended to created schedules that are back-to-back until that functionality is in place.

To upgrade to version 1.0.4 use the images eyevinntechnology/consuo-schedule:v1.0.4 and eyevinntechnology/consuo-engine:v1.0.4

Version 1.0.3

Version 1.0.2

This release includes the following bugfix:

  • Now possible to separate the ID of the asset and the ID of the event in the schedule. Two new fields are introduced in the API when creating an event in a schedule: eventId and assetId. They will replace the field id which will be deprecated. If no eventId is provided when creating the event a unique ID will be generated.
  • When enabled the automatic scheduler by setting the config option auto_populate to true when creating a channel the URL to the Atom Feed in auto_populate_content field was not correctly handled causing the automatic scheduler to not function correctly.
  • The field duration in the API is mandatory but it was not reflected in the API documentation.
